Oxford Ice Skating Lessons

Here at Oxford, ice skating lessons with a fully qualified coach will always help. Whether you have never been to a rink before or you are a seasoned competitor. I am a Level 2 British Ice Skating qualified coach and as such allowed to train skaters of all abilities. I currently give ice skating lessons to total beginners (children and adults looking for a new skill) and 2 of my students were recently crowned the 2023 British Adult Silver and Pre-Bronze Champions.

Oxford ice skating lessons are normally 30 minutes long, although they can be any multiple of 15 minutes. Beginner lessons will take place on public sessions whilst more advanced skaters take place on training ice. (To find out more about these click here). These systems allow for learning and practise to take place as safely as possible and to maximise training opportunity for all.

Equipment Advice

For people attending an ice skating lesson for the first time, this can be a daunting time. Many people think that learning to skate means you must own your own pair of skates. I disagree, all ice rinks allow people to hire skates and for the initial stages of learning these will be perfectly fine.

As students progress I am able to give advice on equipment, from skates and blades to training clothing and competition costumes. I have spent years learning what I know, and I am happy to share the knowledge. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.
